Before working with Celerik, Abbott’s teams in Latin America relied on manual Excel workflows to analyze patient glucose data. The process was slow, fragmented, and prone to human error. Each region managed data independently, limiting visibility, scalability, and timely decision-making.
On top of that, strict data residency laws across countries made it difficult to implement a single, unified system. Abbott needed a solution that was compliant, customizable, and fast to deploy, something previous vendors had failed to deliver.
In collaboration with Abbott, we designed and delivered a powerful, locally-deployed data platform that replacedExcel with a smart, intuitive web application. Built with React and Python, the solution allowed Abbott’s teams to:
> Visualize patient population trends and KPIs in real-time
> Filter data by diabetes type, region, or patient group
> Access dashboards personalized to each team’s needs
> Ensure compliance with local data regulations

Following the success of the pilot, Abbott is expanding the platform to more countries in LATAM and preparing to launch a partner-facing API. The impact goes beyond data, it’s changing how healthcare teams collaborate, analyze, and make decisions.
